MetroTorino (30.000 passengers daily) is the first automatic light vehicle(VAL)system in Italy: lightweight, driverless vehicles running frequently in order to reduce waiting times to a minimum and tailor the service to meet specific needs occurring during different time frames.

Prisma succeeded in making 800 luminaires for the new Turin underground line in just two months’ time. With the collaboration of the local agency that assessed and coordinated the client’s requirements, these customized versions of the Profil 25 asymmetric luminaire were produced for installation in the 12 new tube stations.
Lighting provided in entryways, stairwells, hallways and on walls, produced by these special 'custom products', fully satisfies the aesthetic and functional needs defined by MetroTorino: a luminaire that is perfectly suited to the existing, specifically prepared technical areas.
Quick maintenance and cascade connections are guaranteed through a special recessed fixing kit with a junction box, and the decorative stainless steel ring sized ad hoc maintains the aesthetic characteristics of the original product.
